The Wall Nut was asked if it was possible to replace an old bathtub with a new shower area, to include two recesses for storage space. Of course! We removed the bathtub, created a step using timber and 18mm plywood, since drainage could not be pushed down into the concrete floor.

After which, we installed a new shower base. We also used bonding to fill up the uneven parts of the wall to enable tiling to be carried out more easily and evenly. We also had to construct a stud wall in order to create the two recesses for storage space.

This was then covered with water- resistant cement board to ensure longevity. Finally, we fitted sleek grey-white ceramic tiles around the shower space. A clean and timeless spa- like shower room, with ample storage space for an indulgent daily escape.
